During the pandemic, people are convinced that the holidays are ruined. Some might say that there are little things to do to make a difference during a pandemic since majority of the people can’t see their family members to celebrate it with. With that said, the way I would make a difference during the holiday would be considered by the majority as “little”. Since people are advised to stay at home, I would be utilizing the use of devices such as computers, mobile phones, and tablets.
As a BMMA student, I am well-aware of operating a computer as a tool to create artworks that are Christmas-themed. Creating Christmas artwork may be a little thing but, given the current situation, this is one way I could contribute to the holidays whilst staying home. With this, I could remind people about the holiday season, and set an atmosphere that resembles Christmas before the pandemic. Where would I post the artworks? I would utilize social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram.
As the youngest member of the family, I would spend more time with my family. Yes, my family and I are always together since the start of the pandemic. Since it will be the holidays, I would spend time with them talking, laughing, and eating. With this, it warms my heart to spend time with my family. Hopefully, they feel the same. This little thing created a heart-warming atmosphere within the house to go with the holiday season.
As a friend, I would utilize social media platforms such as Facebook for communicating with my friends. Since my friends live really far away, I will only be able to contact them through chat. What does this do? This helps me develop a relationship with my friend while having to stay at the comfort of my home. I would check up on them, how they’re doing recently, and how would they celebrate the holidays.
Despite the pandemic, I would find ways to celebrate the holidays, and make a slight difference in some of the lives of the people I know. To summarize the entry, I would create Christmas-themed artworks, spend time with my family, and check-up on my friends via social media. Most of the action stated can be done with the use of a computer, mobile phone, or tablet. With this, it helps me stay at home while sharing the holiday season with other people.
